... to remember!!
as
- The back position (hip carry variation) should only be used with babies who can sit confidently unassisted
- Extreme caution should be taken with a newborn in a back position
- Never cook or ride a bicycle with your baby in a sling or any other carrier
- Before putting on and using your pouch, please remember to inspect it before each use for any rips, tears, or weak seams
- Always remember when practicing you should have one hand placed on baby at all times
- When bending down, please bend at the knees and hold one hand on your baby in sling to support it
- Use caution when going through doorways or tight spots to ensure baby's head & body are protected
- Before trying the sling for the first time, be sure your baby is well-rested, fed, and not cranky. Don't use your sling when your newborn is hungry or fussy. Happy babies will enjoy their first sling experience!
- The best thing you can do as soon as you get baby into the sling is get moving. Take a walk, outside if you can, and keep moving. This is very important! It may take a few sling-wearings on a walk before baby is comfortable enough with slinging for you to stand still
- For a newborn, you may place a cloth diaper or blanket under the head for extra support and to help during nursing
- If your sling hurts, there is something wrong. You might get tired after carrying baby for awhile, but it should not be painful. Be sure the top of your sling is spread across your shoulder comfortably. It should not rub on your neck

IMPORTANT: When wearing your sling, your baby's safety is YOUR responsibility
