Instructions to use
as
- Before you start to put on the sling, folded into itself, widthwise, so you have a two-layer tube.
- Pass one arm and your head through the sling so that the fabric rests on the desired shoulder. The open edges of the sling should be towards your neck with the folded edge against your shoulder. Your sling should now be sitting diagonally across your chest and back.
- Turn your sling so that curved section with the seam is sitting over your stomach: the bottom of the sling should lay somewhere between your belly button and hips. This is the part your baby will sit in.
- Open the sewn edges of the pouch so that you can slip your baby inside. Make sure that the fabric on your shoulder and across your back is smooth as this will help to spread your baby’s weight. By keeping the fabric over the ball of your shoulder you should not feel any discomfort or strain.
- Hold your baby in your left arm as you open the sling with your right hand.
- Place the baby in pouch so your baby's bottom rests on the bottom seam, and baby's head is resting on the left side of your body.
- Once your baby is placed, reach behind you to stretch the fabric across your back to broaden the pouch and provide more support. As you become familiar with using your pouch sling other positions can be tried.
- The sling should not feel uncomfortably tight for you or your child. You should be able to get your child into the sling fairly easily, but at the same time the child should fit snugly
